What is a pawn loan?
Pawn loans are a form of collateral credit. Pawn loans are given in exchange for an item that the pawnbroker holds onto as security, or collateral, until the loan is paid back. Once the pawn loan is paid back the item is returned to the client. Of course that's the simple answer, there are a few other steps we can go over once you come into our shop. Our pawn loans are for a 30 day period

What can I pawn?
When we assess the value of an item, we look at its current value, then base pawn loan on the resale value of the item. The type of item being pawned and its condition makes a difference in the loan value as well. Some of the higher value loan items include:
  • Gold, high end watches, and jewelry
  • Up to date electronics
  • Tablets and smartphones
  • Quality guitars and musical instruments
  • Collectibles items
  • Vehicles
These items bring higher loans, but almost any item can be pawned including household goods, entertainment systems, tools, custom jewelry, and more. The basic rule is that if it's not illegal, and we don’t have to feed it or water it, we can likely give a loan on it.

How do I get the loan?
The pawnbroker will start by taking the item(s) and have a good look at it. Then, we do some research on the value and availability of the item(s). The pawnbroker will then offer a loan. If the client accepts and completes some paper work, the loan will be paid to the client in cash.

In order to get a loan, the client needs to show 2 forms of picture ID (1 of which needs to be from the government: Driver License, Passport, Citizen card, or Status card) and agree to the terms of the loan. Other optional charges such as insurance could apply.

What happens if I don't pay the loan back?
Ultimately, we would like to see every customer pick up their pawned item(s). We usually hold item(s) up to 30 additional days, allowing time for the customer to reclaim the item(s) for an extra interest fee. We will not call or harass you if you leave an item beyond the due date. We understand that sometimes things just happen. In that case, the item becomes our property and is put out on the sales floor with a price that’s meant to sell.
